The following software offers artists capabilities not possible or practical with currently available commercial (user) software. It is offered free of charge for any reasonable non-commercial use under the GNU License (below). In return for its use, however, please send a quick email stating how, and where, you are using it, to ckeyes@hkbu.edu.hk.

Monochord for Mac - standalone
Monochord for Windows - standalone (but requires a FULL and free installation of Apple's Quicktime)
All software below this line requires the Max programing environment in order to run. If you don't have it, you MUST first download and install a copy of the (free) Max RUNTIME for Mac or Windows PC.

Windows users will also need a full (free) installation of Apple's Quicktime to run the video software.Apple's Quicktime

Intermedia Software
•    Intermedia Digital Arts HyperInstrument (IDAH)
•    Sonification Intermedia Digital Arts HyperInstrument  (SiHyperI)Both programs use motion tracking to generate audio and video simultaneously. SiHyperI adds sonification capabilities (via mouse or motion tracking) mappings pixel values (red, green, blue, contrast, brightness etc.) to whichever audio parameters one chooses.
ArtsSync performs mostly CPU-based image processing via timeline break-point curves and/or instantaneous audio analysis.
