A canvas for sound, science, and art
in the digital domain

Theatre Details

The Theatre houses a 24.2 channel sound system and 5 projection screens backed by audio, video and computing equipment, including 2 networked computers and an array of graphics processors. Despite its complexity, it is designed to be very user friendly.

Unfortunately, playback of older audio and video technologies is not supported (except CDs). Instead there is an extensive video patch-bay that accepts virtually all standard formats for devices you might bring in, which leads to a scalar/digitizer for up-converting to HD. With the exception of  phonograph record players, virtually all audio signals can be accommodated, including an iPods.
